The Galician language (“gl” in ISO-639) is a romance language spoken mainly in Galicia, an autonomous community located in northwestern Spain, where it is official along with Spanish.

While I’m a native speaker of both Galician and Spanish (as most people from Galicia), the former one has become my language of choice, specially for written communication.

You can see this interest reflected in many of my contributions to free culture — in fact, my first contributions were Galician translations!
